Terms of Service
1. Definitions
Chiro+ is a publishing and recognition platform for licensed chiropractors.
A member is a chiropractor whose Chiro+ membership is active.
A feature is an article a member writes and Chiro+ publishes after editorial review.
The badge is the mark issued to a member when their feature is published, and the badge page is the public page it links to, where anyone can check what the badge currently says.
An honor is a recognition selected under the Award Rules & Criteria. Honors sit outside membership and are never sold.
2. Membership
Membership is open to chiropractors who hold an active license in good standing in the jurisdiction where they practise.
Membership is $79/month, or $599/year. Payment happens when you join, before you write anything. An account is created after the first payment clears, and cannot be created before it.
What a membership includes is listed in full on the membership page, and that list is part of these terms.
A member may cancel at any time. The membership runs to the end of the period already paid for and then stops; an ordinary cancellation is not prorated and does not refund the period in progress.
A member may switch between the monthly and annual price at any time. The unused part of the period already paid for is credited against the new one; the credit is applied to future charges and is not paid out.
Verified standing ends when the membership does. Anything a doctor was selected for stays on the record permanently.
3. Publication & review
Every feature is read by a person before it appears. Nothing on this site publishes automatically.
Editorial review takes three to five business days.
A feature is measured against the editorial acceptance criteria, which are published in full on the Editorial Standards page.
A member gets up to two revision rounds. If the feature cannot clear review after the second, the Published-or-Refunded Terms apply.
4. Published or refunded
If an article cannot clear review after two revision rounds, or the license check fails before it is published, the membership is cancelled and refunded in full, automatically. No support ticket, no manual step.
The refund is issued as part of the decision that ends the membership, not as a request the member has to make afterwards.
The Published-or-Refunded Terms state this in full, including when it does not apply.
5. Badge & verification
A badge is issued when a member's feature is published and the license check comes back in good standing.
One record holds a badge's status, and every page that displays the badge reads that record rather than a copy of it. A badge whose membership has lapsed says so, and a badge that has been withdrawn says so.
What a member may do with the badge, and for how long, is set out in the Badge Usage License.
Checking a badge is free, needs no account, and is open to anyone.
6. What the badge says, and what it does not
Chiro+ does not practise chiropractic, does not give medical advice, and does not assess clinical skill.
A badge, a published feature, and a public profile all speak to one narrow thing: that a member's license was checked with the issuing state board, and what that check returned on the date it was made.
None of them is a statement that a doctor is competent, that a technique works, or that a patient should expect any particular outcome.
Nothing on this site is medical advice. Reading a feature creates no doctor-patient relationship, neither with the member who wrote it nor with Chiro+.
A license can change the day after it is checked. The badge page reports what the record currently says rather than a copy taken when the badge was issued, which is why checking one is free, needs no account, and is open to anyone.
7. No warranties
The site and the membership are provided as they are and as available. Chiro+ makes no warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement, and does not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or free of error.
Editorial review is a judgment and not a service level. Chiro+ does not warrant that any article will clear review or be published. What it promises instead is the Published-or-Refunded outcome, which has its own document and is the one commitment this section does not disclaim.
8. Limits on liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Chiro+ is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, nor for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or loss of goodwill — whether or not it had been warned such damages were possible.
Total liability on any claim is limited to the greater of the fees the member paid Chiro+ in the twelve months before the claim arose, or one hundred dollars.
Nothing in this section limits a liability that the law does not permit to be limited.
9. A member's own material
A member is responsible for what they submit. The warranties they give when they submit it are set out in the Content License.
A member indemnifies Chiro+ against a claim brought by someone else arising out of their article, their images, or their use of the badge — including a claim that the material infringes a copyright or a trademark, or that it defames somebody. Chiro+ will tell the member about any such claim promptly and may take over its defence.
10. Resolving a dispute
Talk first. Before either side files anything, whichever one has the complaint sends the other a written description of it and of what would settle it, and both sides then have 60 days to work it out. A member writes to 5511 Parkcrest Dr., Suite 103, Austin, TX 78731, or through the contact page; Chiro+ writes to the address on the account. This step is a condition of filing, and any deadline that would otherwise run is paused while it does.
If those 60 days pass without resolution, a dispute is settled by binding individual arbitration under the Consumer Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association rather than in court, and the arbitrator decides what these terms mean and whether they apply to the dispute.
Small claims court stays available. Either side may take a qualifying claim there instead, and doing so breaches nothing in this section.
Claims are brought individually. Neither side may bring a class, collective, consolidated, or representative action, and an arbitrator may neither preside over one nor award relief to anybody who is not a party. Should this paragraph be held unenforceable as to some particular claim, that claim proceeds in court under section 11 and the rest of this section continues to govern everything else.
If twenty-five or more demands are filed against it by the same counsel, or by counsel acting in coordination, within a ninety-day window, all of them are administered in batches of no more than fifty, each batch before one arbitrator, with the fee schedule applied per batch rather than per demand.
Chiro+ pays the filing, administrative, and arbitrator fees above what the member would have paid to file the same claim in small claims court — unless the arbitrator finds the claim frivolous or brought for an improper purpose.
A member chooses the forum: a hearing by video, a hearing in the county where they live, or a decision on documents alone.
A member may reject this section. Writing to 5511 Parkcrest Dr., Suite 103, Austin, TX 78731 within 30 days of first accepting these terms and saying so is enough. Rejecting it changes nothing else in these terms, and it will not be held against the member in any way.
11. Governing law and venue
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
For anything section 10 leaves to a court, the state and federal courts sitting in Travis County, Texas have exclusive jurisdiction, and both sides consent to venue there.
12. Changes to these terms
Every version of these terms carries a version and an effective date, both printed at the head of this page, and every earlier version stays readable at its own address.
An immaterial change — a correction, a clarification, a reformatting — takes effect when it is published.
A material change — one altering what either side owes, what data is used for, what the badge license permits, or how a dispute is resolved — takes effect no sooner than thirty days after notice is sent, and a member is asked to accept it before publishing anything further. A member who would rather not accept it may cancel before it takes effect, and is not held to it.
A change is never applied backwards. An article submitted under an earlier version stays governed by the version in force on the day it was submitted.
