Privacy Policy
1. What this policy covers
This policy covers the personal data Chiro+ holds about three groups of people: members, people who write to us, and chiropractors we have contacted who never signed up.
The third group is the one a privacy policy usually forgets, and it is the reason this document exists in the form it does.
2. What we hold about a member
Account details: name, email address, and the credentials the authentication system needs to sign the member in.
License details submitted so the license can be checked with the state board, and the result of that check.
The article a member writes, anything they upload with it, and the editorial history of both.
A record of what was paid and when. Card numbers are never held by Chiro+ — payment runs through a payment processor, and the card details stay with it.
3. Contacts who never signed up
Chiro+ holds contact details for chiropractors who have no account: a colleague a member puts forward, and doctors contacted about writing a feature.
Where a contact came from is recorded on the contact. Public registries and licensed vendors only.
A contact can ask what is held about them, ask for it to be corrected, or ask to be removed entirely. An opt-out is enforced across every tool that sends, not only the one that sent.
4. Why we hold it
To check a license with the state board; to review and publish an article; to keep what a badge says about a member true; to take payment; to answer a message someone sent us; and to contact a doctor about writing a feature.
Not to sell. Chiro+ does not sell personal data and does not trade contact lists.
5. Who else processes it
Chiro+ runs on other companies' infrastructure, and each one below touches data only to do the job named beside it.
Vercel — hosts the site, runs its server code, and stores uploaded files.
Neon — hosts the databases holding accounts, members, articles, and badge records.
Stripe — takes payment and holds the card details. Card numbers never reach this site.
Resend — delivers email: receipts, editorial notices, and account security mail.
Sentry — receives error reports so faults can be found and fixed.
Each is bound by its own agreement with Chiro+ to process data only as instructed. None of them is permitted to use it for their own purposes, and none is an advertising network.
A licensing board is not on this list. Checking a license sends the board a query about a doctor, which section 4 covers; the board is not processing anything on our behalf.
6. How long we keep it
While a membership is active, everything in section 2 is kept so the platform can do the things section 4 lists.
When a member deletes their account, the sign-in identity goes with it: the email address, the credentials, any phone number held for two-factor sign-in, and the email preferences attached to it.
Three kinds of record outlive the account, and each for a reason that is not convenience. A payment record is kept as long as tax and accounting law requires. A badge record is kept because the whole point of a badge is that anyone can check later what it said and when — deleting the record would break the check rather than protect the member. And an audit entry recording that somebody asked to be deleted is the evidence the request was honoured.
Deleting an account also cancels the membership, with no further charges and no refund of the period already paid, and deactivates the badge. The member's profile and published articles come off the public site; the records behind them are kept privately and are not shown to anyone.
Backups expire on a rolling window of no more than 30 days. Until that window passes, a copy of deleted data can still exist in a backup; after it, the copy is gone without anyone having to act.
7. Asking what we hold, and asking us to delete it
Anyone may ask what Chiro+ holds about them, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted.
Deletion has one limit worth stating plainly: it takes a member's profile and articles off the public site, but the records section 6 names are kept rather than erased, for the reasons given there.
Write to info@chiroplusofficial.com and say which of the three you are asking for. We answer from the same address.
8. Changes to this policy
Every version of this policy carries a version and an effective date, both printed at the head of this page, and every earlier version stays readable at its own address.
If a change broadens what data is collected or what it is used for, notice goes out before the change takes effect and members are asked to accept it. A change that only clarifies or corrects takes effect when it is published.
