Badge Usage License
1. What the license grants
While the membership is active and the badge's status is active, a member may display the badge on their practice website, in printed material, and in professional profiles, and may use the embed Chiro+ provides.
The license is personal to the member. It travels with the doctor, not with a practice, a clinic group, or a website.
2. What it does not grant
The mark may not be altered: not its colours, not its proportions, not its wording.
It may not be used to suggest that Chiro+ endorses a product, a technique, or an outcome of treatment. The badge says a doctor's standing was checked; it says nothing about a clinical claim.
It may not be displayed for a practice the member does not practise in.
It may not be used at all once the membership ends.
3. The badge tells the truth about itself
One record holds a badge's status. Every surface that displays a badge reads that record rather than a stored copy, which is why a badge cannot go on saying something the record no longer supports.
Each badge carries an identifier of the form CHP-XXXX-XXXX. Anyone with the identifier can check the badge, free and without an account.
4. Lapse
When a membership lapses, the license to display the badge ends with it, and the member takes the badge down.
The badge's own page does not disappear. It reports the current standing, which is what makes a check worth making.
5. Withdrawal
Chiro+ can withdraw a badge. When it does, the badge's status changes, the license to display it ends immediately, and the badge's page says that the standing behind it is not current.
The page says nothing further about the doctor. What a withdrawal means is between Chiro+ and the member; a stranger checking a badge is owed the status and not an accusation.
