Published-or-Refunded Terms
1. The promise
If an article cannot clear review after two revision rounds, or the license check fails before it is published, the membership is cancelled and refunded in full, automatically. No support ticket, no manual step.
2. When you are charged
Payment happens when you join, before you write anything.
Membership is $79/month, or $599/year. The charge is taken at the join form, before an account exists; a member who never submits an article may cancel at any time under section 2 of the Terms.
3. What counts as published
An article is published when it is live on this site, at its own address, under the member's name.
4. What triggers the refund
Two things, and both of them are decisions Chiro+ makes rather than tests the member fails silently.
The article cannot clear editorial review after two revision rounds.
The license check does not come back in good standing.
In either case the membership is cancelled and the payment is refunded in full.
5. How the refund is issued
Automatically, to the original payment method, as part of the same decision that ends the membership. There is no ticket to open and no step anyone has to remember.
6. Where the clean path does not apply
Three situations sit off the path in section 4, and each has its own answer.
A member who stops replying during revisions. The article stays open and the membership keeps billing, because neither one ends by itself. Chiro+ will write to the member more than once; after 90 days without a reply it may treat the submission as withdrawn, and if it does, that decision is a decline under section 4 and carries the refund with it. A member who would rather not wait can cancel at any time under the Terms.
A refund asked for after publication. The promise in section 1 is about the outcome of review, and once an article is live that outcome has been delivered. There is no refund of a published membership; cancelling follows the Terms instead, and the membership runs to the end of the period already paid for.
A license that lapses after the article is live. Chiro+ may withdraw the badge, and may unpublish the article. Neither is automatic — a person decides, because a license that shows as lapsed in a database is not yet a finding about a doctor. No refund is owed in this case either, for the same reason as the one above: the article was published.
7. What this promise is not
It covers the outcome of editorial review and of the license check. It is not a general satisfaction guarantee: once an article is published, the membership has delivered the thing it was charged for, and an ordinary cancellation follows the Terms of Service instead.
